"Learn how to see. Realize that everything connects to everything else." ~Leonardo Da Vinci The whole of consciousness could be likened to a symphonic orchestra performing a never-ending opus. Within each movement, every musician that is performing, every instrument being played, each note that is created, every variation in rhythm or tempo, the tension between crescendo and decrescendo, the interplay between sound and silence, and every member of the audience are all essential contributors to not only the manifest symphonic creation, but to the experience of all involved. Those of you who may be unfamiliar with this inherent principle of our reality are likely familiar with and accept as truth one or more of these dynamics—the ripple effect, the domino effect, the butterfly effect, cascading failure, the snowball effect and chain reaction. They are all evidentiary [manifest] effects of our inextricable interconnectedness to everyone and everything.
Accordingly, we are all co-creators of and thus responsible for manifest reality. The conditions in which each and every person on the planet is living are the manifest results of the aggregate of humanity's thoughts, feelings and actions. When we care only about ending suffering for ourselves and do nothing to end suffering for all, we bring more suffering unto all, including ourselves. In other words, everything you and I think, feel, say and do (or don't do) affects what everyone else thinks, feels, says and does (or doesn't do); and everything they think, feel, say and do (or don't do) affects what you and I think, feel, say and do (or don't do)—whether or not you are aware of or believe this profound truth. Those of us on a conscious journey of awakening are responsible for seeking, coming to understand, and living in accordance with knowledge of the "inner" world and how it works, and of the "external" world and how it works. The journey of awakening and experiences encountered along the way are as unique as the individuals who undergo them. However, these people share three key characteristics in common: 1. They begin and continue their journey with a root-level desire for meaningful change, not only within themselves and in their own lives, but also in the human condition as a whole. 2. They continually summon the courage to look inward at themselves and outward at the world with honest eyes and an open heart. 3. Finally, and most importantly, they have an abiding hunger for higher-order knowledge of the truth of humanity and our world—knowing in their bones (and hearts) it exists—and being wholeheartedly dedicated to discovering and following it wherever it may lead them. Humanity can only end its suffering and transform the human condition when vital, higher-order knowledge becomes common knowledge. Thus, those of us on the path of awakening are tasked with and responsible for attaining, understanding, embodying and living in harmony with the higher-order knowledge and principles of our [shared] reality.
